Born and raised on the east coast, Shannon Rae Fincke formerly lived and worked in New York City’s East Village. Currently, she paints in a studio in the Atwater Village neighborhood of Los Angeles. Shannon has become rooted in the west by motherhood and directing the Institute for Visual Arts, which she founded in 2011, and directing The Middle Room Gallery, which she founded in 2023.
